Biography

Earth's Crude Gravities (Harbour, 2007)

Patrick Friesen, a resident of Winnipeg for 30 years, now lives on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. He has published numerous books of poetry and has written several stage and radio plays. Friesen has also collaborated with choreographers, dancers, musicians and composers. He tours on a regular basis, giving readings and workshops across the country. His books have been shortlisted for the BC Book Prize for Poetry (Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize) and the Governor General's Award for Poetry.
